intotone announces debut album “Homes of tomorrow”, shares single “rock yr baby”
homes of tomorrow is a miniature symphony about a dying planet, written and recorded by Jacob Weiss using an op-1 and op-z. At times playful and other times dire, the sonic palette shifts from cute bleeps and bloops, warm and embracing pads into harsh static noise and bass drones throughout the 48-minute piece. The album is sprinkled with spoken samples found across various platforms of archival media, along with field recordings taken from the blackened ruins of Bastrop State Park in Texas and gasping Icelandic glaciers; a world that sings with the delicacy of an orchid and howls gargantuan as a mountain.
